AMBomba Buffer Complet 1 % is AMBiotec Nutrition's buffering core for beef cattle in intensive systems, from weaning to slaughter. Its dose is adjusted to the formula: 6 kg per tonne when the feed already contains an AMBomba mineral supplement and 10 kg per tonne when it does not.
What the ration has to solve
Intensive calf fattening relies on cereal-rich rations. Starch is the energy that makes the animal grow, but when it ferments too quickly the rumen pH drops: the calf eats in fits and starts, makes poorer use of the ration and the batch loses uniformity. This is subclinical acidosis, which cannot be seen but is paid for in daily gain.
