Sodium and water co-transport
The glucose-to-sodium ratio enables the intestinal co-transport of sodium and water on which oral rehydration is based: without available glucose, sodium is not absorbed efficiently and water is not retained.

Prepare 30 g of product per litre of drinking water; for young animals, use lukewarm water (about 30 °C). Give 1 litre of solution per kilo of weight lost. Programme:
A milk-fed calf that leaves at 46 kg and arrives at the feedlot at 40 kg has lost 6 kg: it needs 4 feeds of 1.5 L.

How is Bilantul Rehidra prepared?
30 g of product per litre of drinking water; for young animals, use lukewarm water (about 30 °C).
How much solution is given?
1 litre of solution per kilo of weight lost. As a guide: 4 feeds of 1.5 L for milk-fed calves, 10-20 L for weaned calves, 40 L for cows and 10 L for sows after giving birth.
Can it be given with milk or water?
Do not give milk replacer while it is being given, and do not give drinking water until two hours later.
Is there a withdrawal period?
No. No withdrawal period for meat or milk.
How should it be stored?
In a cool, dry place away from heat, tightly closed: it is very sensitive to moisture. Once opened, use within 15 days.
Does it replace veterinary treatment?
No. It is a dietetic complementary feed that fits into farm management and does not replace the diagnosis or judgement of the veterinarian responsible.
